I paint what appeals to me and change my working method to suit the subject matter. Currently I am enjoying making monoprints using a gelatin plate, I then use those prints to make my collage paintings. This work is very meditative and involves a lot of problem solving which stimulates me and keeps me in my painting zone. A member of several Arizona arts organizations, Melanie Harman has been living and working in Arizona since 1987. She is currently Membership Chair for Contemporary Watercolorists of Arizona.
