Acrylic collage by Melanie Harman.
Featuring an “up close” view of a worker bee on a yellow flower, this painting is full of interesting detail. A collage of acrylic prints made on a gelatin plate. This painting was juried into the Shemer Art Center “Up Close” exhibit in 2022.
About Melanie Harman
I paint what appeals to me and change my working method to suit the subject matter. Currently I am enjoying making monoprints using a gelatin plate, I then use those prints to make my collage paintings. This work is very meditative and involves a lot of problem solving which stimulates me and keeps me in my painting zone. A member of several Arizona arts organizations, Melanie Harman has been living and working in Arizona since 1987. She is currently Membership Chair for Contemporary Watercolorists of Arizona.
